Nordship 43 DSDeck saloon cruising yacht with twin cockpits: centre cockpit with large cockpit table, aft cockpit with all lines led aft for ease of sailing. Hand laid teak deck, cockpit and companionway – ready to sail away. Both boat and equipment are built according to EU guidelines for CE Certification class A, Ocean.
Data:Length o.a. 13,25 m Hull and deckHand laminated isophthalic GRP hull with DCP/ORTHO Polyester and XGT Gelcoat. Dark blue sheer lines and waterlines moulded into the gelcoat. Balsa sandwich construction above the waterline including deck and superstructure. Lead keel with torpedo secured to the hull with 13 stainless steel 24 mm stainless steel bolts. GRP rudder blade and aluminium rudderstock mounted with two sets of needle roller bearings. Hull and deck are bolted and glued together. Below the waterline the hull has been sprayed with 2 coats of epoxy primer and 1 coat of antifoul. On deckTeak on side decks and in cockpits, caulked with rubber compound. Heavy solid teak toe rail. Stainless steel mooring and amidships cleats. Stainless steel pushpit and stanchions. Stainless steel pulpit and bowsprit with hinged bow ladder and teak grating for easy and safe access on one side and an anchor with bowroller on the other side. Self-draining anchor locker in foredeck with 30 m galvanized, 9.5 mm chain and fitted with 1000 W electric anchor winch with remote control. Pushpit with teak seats. In the larger centre cockpit the stainless steel frame of the teak cockpit table acts as a heel bar. The centre cockpit is free of lines and is primarily designed for leisure use. It’s high protective sides also make it a safe area for children. Lewmar main sheet track located on bridge deck (between cockpits). 2 x Andersen ST52 winches. All lines led aft to these winches in concealed tracks from the mast. Large leather covered stainless steel lockable steering wheel mounted on binnacle with compass and stainless steel hoop. Engine controls to the side. Large cockpit bins under the winches. The ’bridgedeck’ between the cockpits is a good location for navigation instruments because of the good visibility from the helm position. Engine instruments are situated here as well.
